Board Action Taken on LMA Dismantling Project
On September 14, 2006 the BART Board of Directors voted to approve the Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration and to adopt the Lake Merritt Administration (LMA) Building Dismantling Project. The Board also voted to adopt the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program for the project.
BART Files NOD for LMA Dismantling Project
On September 19, 2006, BART filed a Notice of Determination (NOD) for the Lake Merritt Administration Building (LMA) Dismantling Project. The determinations include:
- The project will not have a significant effect on the environment.
- A Negative Declaration was prepared for this project pursuant to the provisions of CEQA.
- Mitigation measures were made a condition of the approval of the project.
- A Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan was adopted for this project.
- A Statement of Overriding Considerations was not adopted for this project.
- Findings were made pursuant to the provisions of CEQA.
Final Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration Now Available for the
Lake Merritt Administration Building (LMA) Dismantling Project
The Final Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration and the Summary of Comments and Responses for the LMA Dismantling Project are now available. The Final Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration provides an environmental evaluation of potential impacts and mitigation measures for the project. The Initial Study examines the potential for the proposed project to cause noise, air quality, aesthetic, hazardous materials, cultural, recreation and traffic impacts. The study concludes that mitigation measures included in the project would ensure that all impacts remain at a less than significant level.
Copies of the Final Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration and the Summary of Comments and Responses are available for public review at the Oakland Public Library, the MTC/ABAG Library and at BART's Administrative Offices at 300 Lakeside Drive.

On May 4, 2006, BART filed a Notice of Determination (NOD) for the OKS Radio Site Project. The determinations include:
- The project will not have a significant effect on the environment pursuant to the provisions of CEQA.
- A Mitigated Negative Declaration was prepared for this project pursuant to the provisions of CEQA.
- Mitigation measures were made a condition of project approval,

On April 27th the BART Board of Directors voted to approve the revised Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration and the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting plan, and to adopt the OKS Radio Site Project.

The Final Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration for the OKS Radio Site Project is now available.
