BART's Board of Directors won't make a final decision about whether to increase parking fees, add ticket surcharges or reduce the generous discounts offered to seniors, the disabled or children until either the May 26 or June 9 board meetings.
The Board held a public hearing on Thursday, April 28, 2005 to gauge the public's reaction to these revenue enhancement proposals (73 k .pdf file). The Board is trying to help cover a $30.4 million deficit in the Fiscal Year 2006 operating budget, which takes effect July 1.
