The following is a small sampling of some of the great venues and events accessible on BART!

The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco is one of the largest museums in the Western world devoted exclusively to Asian art. Its holdings include nearly 15,000 treasures spanning 6,000 years of history, representing cultures throughout Asia. The museum's mission is to lead a diverse global audience in discovering the unique material, aesthetic, and intellectual achievements of Asian art and culture.

The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco is located at 200 Larkin Street. Take BART to Civic Center Station. Visit the museum's website at http://www.asianart.org/.

The main branch of the San Francisco Public Library is hosting a variety of events, including a mini-festival of Korean music in the Koret Auditorium on Wednesday, May 17 from noon to 2 p.m. The photo exhibition "China: The Soul of a Country" will be on display in the main library's Chinese Center through July 27.

You can also take BART to the Asian Heritage Street fair on Saturday, May 20 in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.

Join the fun on Irving St. between 20th and 25th Avenues in San Francisco's Sunset District from 11 a.m. 6 p.m.

Take BART and transfer at any downtown San Francisco station to the outbound Muni N Judah line for the fastest and easiest way to get to the Asian Heritage Street Fair.

The fair will feature live entertainment, food, arts and crafts, martial arts, karaoke and more. Best of all admission is free!

Please be advised, MUNI will reroute the 71 Noriega line from 22nd Avenue and 23rd Avenue to 25th Avenue between Lincoln and Noriega on May 20th.
