BART, Travelocity launch campaign

Travelocity has joined forces with BART to produce a summer travel campaign. The campaign promotes taking BART to the airport and booking travel on Travelocity. The highlight of the program is three BART train wraps featuring the Travelocity Gnome and BART To Your TRAVELOCITY Trips on the side of the train. Travelocity ads will also be featured on the back of BART tickets this fall.

Travelocity has a very customer focused philosophy. They are committed to being the traveler's champion -- before, during and after the trip and guarantees everything about a customer's booking will be right. If it's not, Travelocity will work with its partners to make it right, right away. This customer-driven focus, backed by live 24/7 phone support, great prices and powerful shopping technology has made Travelocity the fifth largest travel agency in the U.S. -- booking $7.4 billion in travel worldwide in 2005. Visit Travelocity.com to book your trip today!

As one of the largest travel companies in the world this partnership provides a unique opportunity for BART to gain exposure to travelers from around the world. The partnership includes six months of BART advertising on Travelocity. BART's Travelocity ads target Bay Area visitors and residents who are traveling in and out of SFO or OAK. The ads promote taking BART to or from the airports to save time, money and the hassle of traffic. The Travelocity participation allowed BART to produce and develop the program, which also features four Take BART to SFO and Take BART to OAK wrapped trains. The program will run through the middle of August and will feature articles on monthly travel specials from Travelocity.
