New ticket exchange kiosk opens in Walnut Creek
BART riders will now have an added "MyTransitPlus" site to exchange a damaged BART ticket, consolidate small value BART tickets into a single BART ticket or purchase discounted BART tickets. Starting Monday, March 2, BART will open a new MyTransitPlus kiosk at the Walnut Creek BART Station. Operating hours for the Walnut Creek kiosk will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Ticket Consolidation Options
Riders may consolidate low-value blue tickets to buy a single $5, $10 or $20 blue ticket or use the cash value from a damaged ticket as credit toward the purchase of a new ticket. Riders may exchange $24 worth of printed value on discounted red or green tickets for a new, single $24 ride value red or green ticket, or use the cash value from low-value red or green tickets as credit toward the purchase of a new $24 red or green ticket.
Some restrictions apply: MyTransitPlus will not provide cash refunds; tickets submitted for exchange must have been purchased by cash or debit card (not a credit card); and there is a limit of 30 tickets per transaction. MyTransit Plus only accepts cash or commuter benefit vouchers for payment. The public may call BART Customer Services at (510) 464-7137 for more information.
