West Oakland Station elevators to close temporarily for upgrades

Dear Customer:

We will need to take the West Oakland Station elevators out of service, one at a time, to complete electrical upgrades. To reduce impact to our daily riders, we will do this elevator work only on the weekends. Here are the details of when the elevators will be taken out of service:

• Platform 2 (going toward Oakland) elevator will be shut down the weekend
  of June 4, 5, and 6, between the hours of 9:00 pm Friday night to 4:30 am
  Monday morning.
• Platform 1 (going toward San Francisco) elevator will be shut down the
  weekend of June 11, 12, and 13, between the hours of 9:00 pm Friday night
  to 4:30 am Monday morning.

If you rely on an elevator, we encourage you to use the Oakland City Center/12th Street or Lake Merritt stations as an alternative. Thank you for your patience as we complete these necessary elevator upgrades.
