BART hosts "Wardrobe for Opportunity" clothing drive

Instead of taking space in your closets, the professional clothes you no longer wear can serve as a wardrobe for opportunity for low-income jobseekers.  To help those in need, BART is inviting the public to join BART employees for its first annual professional clothing drive to benefit "Wardrobe for Opportunity," a non-profit organization that places jobs, provides job retention services, career coaching and image workshops for its clients.  If you have gently worn professional clothes that you no longer wear, BART staff will be accepting donations on Thursday, September 23, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor Kaiser Center Conference Room, 300 Lakeside Drive, Oakland.  Tax deduction receipts will be available. These donations will be provided to low-income clients to wear at their interviews. Wardrobe for Opportunity welcomes clean and pressed clothing donations on hangers as well as accessories.
