New East Bay locations more convenient for seniors to get Clipper cards

It’s now more convenient than ever for East Bay seniors to get a Senior Clipper card, which provides the same 62.5%  discount as the senior BART ticket. Three new locations to submit applications for the card have been added thanks to a partnership between BART, County Connection, Tri Delta Transit and Wheels.

Because there is a limited number of locations that accept Youth and Senior Clipper Card applications, seniors 65 and older old may immediately get their senior Clipper card at County Connection in Concord, Tri Delta Transit in Antioch and Wheels in Livermore. If you’re eligible, bring in acceptable proof of age such as a driver’s license, state ID card, passport, birth certificate, alien registration/permanent resident card, matricula consular/consular ID card or SF City ID and complete the Clipper Senior Card Application. The senior Clipper card has no value. Cash value may be added at many Clipper retailers in the area including BART stations.

Youth (ages 5 to 18 years old) Clipper card applications will also be accepted by these transit agencies. Bring in acceptable proof of age and complete the Clipper Youth Card Application. Clipper will mail the youth card to the address listed on the application.

Visit County Connection at 2477 Arnold Industrial Way in Concord Monday through Friday from 8am to noon and 1pm to 5pm. Visit Tri Delta Transit at 801 Wilbur Avenue in Antioch Monday thru Thursday from 7am to 6pm and Friday from 8am to 5pm. Visit Wheels at 1362 Rutan Drive, Suite 100 in Livermore Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5pm.

Clipper Youth and Senior cards are specially encoded to automatically calculate the discounted cash fare when you use Clipper on public transit. Clipper is accepted on AC Transit, BART, Caltrain, Golden Gate Transit and Ferry, SF Muni, SamTrans and Santa Clara Valley Transit. Clipper is not accepted as fare payment on County Connection, Tri Delta Transit or Wheels at this time. For more information, visit www.Clippercard.com.
