South San Francisco Station elevator will be out through September

The only elevator at South San Francisco Station is out of service. The main hydraulic piston must be replaced. This is the part that lifts and lowers the elevator between floors. A new piston is being manufactured and will not be delivered until the end of September. We apologize for the inconvenience.

There are nearby escalators available in South San Francisco Station. It is suggested that passengers who require an elevator plan on using an alternative station such as San Bruno or Millbrae.

To check the operational status of other station elevators before arriving at the station, please call 510-834-LIFT or 888-2-ELEVAT.

If you need language assistance services, please call BART’s Transit Information Center at  (510) 465-2278.
