Elevator out for maintenance at El Cerrito Plaza Station 6/6

We will repair/replace the flooring in our elevators one at a time starting the week of June 6, 2016 at El Cerrito Plaza Station

We will be upgrading the splash guards and flooring in the elevator to prevent liquid from flowing under the floor and to make cleaning the elevator easier.

Each elevator will be out of service for approximately 1 week. The first elevator out of service will be on the platform for northbound trains and the second will be on the platform for southbound trains.

We recommend:
1.    When the elevator on the northbound side of the platform is out of service, northbound passengers who need to access El Cerrito Plaza should stay on the train to El Cerrito del Norte Station, get off there and cross over to a southbound train to El Cerrito Plaza.
2.    When the elevator on the southbound side of the platform is out of service, southbound passengers who need access to El Cerrito Plaza should continue to North Berkeley Station, cross to a northbound train and return to El Cerrito Plaza.
