For the first time in about two years the BART Board of Directors held one of its regular meetings at night on Thursday April 27th to help accommodate members of the public who cannot attend 9am board meetings.

The Board discussed several important items at this meeting including:

* The fiscal year 2018 preliminary budget

* Initiatives to reduce fare evasion

* A proposal to boost BART’s use of electricity from renewable sources which was approved.

The full agenda is available to download here.

The meeting started at 5pm instead of the typical 9am start time. All board meetings take place in the BART Board Room, which is located in the Kaiser Center 20th Street Mall, Third Floor, 344 20th St. in Oakland.
