BART auto burglary suspect take into custody

A suspect has been arrested for allegedly burglarizing as many as 16 cars earlier this week including nine at the Millbrae BART Station in San Mateo County. 

A Daly City police officer on Wednesday afternoon arrested two juveniles for auto burglary in the parking lot of Century Theatres near the Daly City BART Station.  That incident led Daly City PD to contact BART Police, which allowed us to identify the suspect in the BART auto burglaries.

A BART police officer Monday afternoon, May 29th, found multiple parked cars with smashed windows at the Millbrae Station throughout the parking structure.  BART investigators say the suspect could be responsible for as many as 16 instances of auto burglaries at multiple Peninsula BART stations.

The suspect is a juvenile and BART is not releasing any further details about the person’s identity.
