Parking changes at El Cerrito del Norte Station April 2018

As we continue to make improvements to the El Cerrito del Norte station, we will begin some work in the parking areas surrounding the station. The first phase of this work will begin in April 2018, and will be completed in four phases taking approximately one year. Click here for a map of the work areas/phases.

The first phase (Phase 1) of work will take place in a portion of the permit parking lot on the south side of the station near San Pablo Avenue between Cutting Blvd. and Hill Street. We will fence off approximately 100 spaces while we reconstruct a portion of the parking lot. 30 of these spaces will be restored when the work is complete.

Phase 2 of the work will take place in the bus area between the permit lot and the station near Hill St. We will reconstruct the bus entrance and add one more bus bay to the existing bus island.

Phase 3 will take place in the bus area near the concourse near Hill St. We will reconstruct the bus bays and add one more bus bay.

Some buses will be relocated during Phase 2 & 3. We will have signs and put out updated bulletins with notice of the relocation.

During the final phase (Phase 4), we will relocate the existing passenger pick-up/drop-off area and make improvements to the Ohlone Greenway in cooperation with the City of El Cerrito’s Ohlone Greenway improvement project. The passenger pick-up/drop-off area will permanently relocate to the permit parking area south of the station.

We know that this work will inconvenience you. We appreciate your patience.
