Escalator out for major repair at 19th St. Station

During routine maintenance, a serious problem was discovered with the escalator which is located at the corner of Broadway and 20th Street on the Telegraph side. The escalator was immediately shut down for passenger safety. Crews will need to dissassemble the top portion of the escalator and remove and replace the bull gear. This is a major undertaking and our best estimate for return to service is September 14.
