Arrest made in connection with knife incident at MacArthur Station

The suspect wanted for brandishing a knife on a BART train and cutting a victim on the thumb has been arrested.  59-year-old Jamarr M. Coleman was arrested by the Oakland Police Department Thursday.

Coleman is suspected of getting into an argument with a rider aboard a Warm Springs-bound train Saturday night (8/25/18) that was stopped at MacArthur Station at approximately 9:15 pm.  BART surveillance video shows Coleman brandished a knife at the victim.  The adult male victim received a one-inch cut to the thumb, which was non-life threatening.  Nobody else was injured in the incident.
