Plaza Improvements at MacArthur Station October Update

Update: Concrete pour has been rescheduled for 10/22-26. Look for signs redirecting pedestrians to the station entrance or see map below.

As you can see, we have been working hard to update the plaza at the station. The whole project should be finished in spring 2019. The entire project includes the construction of a new, secure bike station, removal of planters, all new concrete flooring, and lighting improvements.

On September 28, we will install water barriers to provide a protected walkway for pedestrians as we move to another phase of the project. From October 2 to 15, we will have concrete trucks pouring new concrete in the plaza, within the Phase 1 fenced off area. The access road will be narrowed to accommodate these activities. See map below or click here for a .pdf.

Shuttles will stop on the access road closer to the garage. On days when there is no hauling or pouring of concrete the regular pedestrian route will be open.

Because of the narrowing of the access road, bicyclists will be asked to use an alternate route or walk their bicycles through the area as they will share the narrow walkway with pedestrians.

Watch for signs and flag people who will direct you to a safe route through the construction.

We will issue updated bulletins and update the information on our website as the work continues.

We know that this work will inconvenience you. We appreciate your patience.
