YVR Crosswalk closing 11/26 to January 2019 Update 12/6

As part of the Walnut Creek Transit Village development project, the contractor will build a new sidewalk, roadway, and other site improvements along the north side of Ygnacio Valley Road. The sidewalk in this area and the crosswalk to the south side of Ygnacio Valley Road and Oakland Blvd. will be closed beginning Monday, November 26, 2018 (Update: Closed Monday, December 10--work delayed because of rain) and remain closed through January 2019.  

Pedestrians may access the Station from the south side of Ygnacio Valley Road and Oakland Blvd. via the sidewalk to the intersection with N. California Blvd. and the crosswalk to the north side of Ygnacio Valley Road.

Station access for pedestrians will be maintained from N. California Blvd. and Pringle Ave. Bicycle access will remain available from the north via N. California Blvd. and Pringle Ave. Click here for a map of the area.

The City of Walnut Creek approved this work and the closure.

Please follow instructions from work crews, and BART employees, and comply with signs and fencing around work areas. There will be no interruption in BART service.
