Warm Springs/So.Fremont Station West Access Bridge & Plaza Project

Concept picture of the Pedestrian/Bike bridge
The City of Fremont, working in coordination with BART, is working on a project to build a pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Union Pacific tracks connecting the new plaza west of the station to the Warm Springs/South Fremont BART Station. Work at the station will begin in January, 2019 and is scheduled for completion in 2020.

The work at the station will include:

  • A barricade installed next to Station Agent’s booth to separate the work zone from public space in the beginning of January.
  • Minor construction activities on the platform and concourse levels of the station.
  • Tie-in of the West Access Bridge to the station concourse.
  • Modifications to station signage, directional tile, guardrails, and the station’s communications systems.

To learn more about this project, please go to the City of Fremont's project website at: https://fremont.gov/2962/BART-Warm-Springs-West-Access-Bridge-Pla

There will be construction noise and dust and single-tracking of BART trains may be required on nights/weekends.

We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
