This Sunday, November 9, there will be no Green Line service until 1pm and service will be reduced from two tracks to one between Union City and Bay Fair until noon to remove vegetation that could impact service. Trains will run every 40 minutes between Union City and Bay Fair during the work. Orange, Yellow, Blue and Red lines will be running, and all 50 stations will be open.
1972: On September 11, BART finally opens to the public. On opening day alone, more than 15,000 people ride the new trains.
