Service reduced to one track through the Transbay Tube this Sunday, July 19, for essential lighting work. Trains will run every 30 minutes systemwide. No Green and Red line service.
1965: Construction of the Transbay Tube begins. Fifty-seven steel sections are constructed and then sunk in place on the bottom of the bay.
