Limited East Bay service has resumed. West Oakland Station remains closed, and there is currently no service through the Transbay Tube or at any stations in San Francisco or on the Peninsula. bart.gov/alternatives provides options without BART service.
1976: Embarcadero Station opens in Downtown San Francisco. This station, not part of the original plans, soon becomes one of BART’s busiest.
