BART Police will enforce all parking requirements and issue citations for vehicles without the required permits or validations. Your payment or appeal must be received within 21 calendar days from the day the citation was issued.

Appealing a Parking Citation
To appeal a parking citation, mail a letter of explanation along with a copy of the citation and any other items (i.e. photos, copies of permits, or validation slips) to the address above, along with the following information:
- Date of request
- Name
- Address
- Daytime phone number
- E-mail address
- Citation number
- Type of citation
- Date of citation
- Location of violation
- Vehicle's license plate number (including state)
- Reason for request of citation dismissal
