South San Francisco Station bike path construction underway

During the next several months, crews will be constructing a portion of a regional bicycle path on the eastern edge of the South San Francisco Station adjacent to Mission Road. As the construction occurs, some parking spaces in the far southeastern lot (facing Mission Road) will be temporarily closed off. Additional parking spaces are available on the upper level of the parking garage.

To accommodate the bike path, BART will be installing new concrete crosswalks on all entrance driveways along Mission Road. As this construction occurs, we'll have traffic flow via a one-way entrance and exit from Mission Road to the eastern surface lots. We'll post signs to help guide you.

Also, please be aware that during a second phase of this project, scheduled to begin in early May, we'll need to relocate disabled and carpool parking spaces in the southeastern BART parking lot along Mission Road. More information on that will be available on bart.gov and in passenger bulletins distributed at the South San Francisco Station.
