BART to run longer trains for KFOG Kaboom, A's games

BART will operate longer trains to serve the crowds attending tomorrow’s KFOG "KaBoom! 2009 Fireworks Show" and the fans heading to Saturday and Sunday’s Oakland A’s games.  Also, on Sunday, San Francisco "Sunday Streets" revelers can ride BART to this month’s event, which promotes a safe, fun, car-free day when people can get out and get active in San Francisco communities.

EMBARCADERO STATION CONVENIENT FOR BOTH SF EVENTS
Saturday's KaBoom event is at Piers 30-32 (Embarcadero & Brannan, near AT&T Park) on the San Francisco waterfront. KaBoom begins at 4 pm, with the fireworks over the bay scheduled for 9 – 9:30 pm. Piers 30-32 are just a short walk from the Embarcadero BART Station. KFOG reminds folks that once again KaBoom is a ticketed event and strongly urges fans to use public transit.  You can purchase KaBoom tickets at www.kfog.com.
Sunday Streets organizers expanded the event to six Sundays, opening the streets to San Franciscans to explore four different neighborhoods and participate in a wide variety of activities, including: dancing, biking, skating, walking, hula hooping, yoga, and just people watching. This Sunday, May 10, from 10 am to 2 pm, Sunday Streets will highlight the San Francisco Bay Trail, which runs from AT&T Park to the Bayview Opera House, along the Bay.  AT&T Park is also within walking distance from the Embarcadero BART Station. For more about Sunday Streets visit www.sundaystreetssf.com.
Riders can plan their trip using the BART QuickPlanner on www.BART.gov.
