Take BART to St. Patrick's Day Parade

On Saturday, March 12, be extra green when you head to San Francisco’s 160th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival by riding BART.  The parade begins at 11:30 a.m. at the corner of Second and Market Streets.  More than 5,000 participants, including BART’s own BARTmobile, will parade down Market Street to the St. Patrick’s Day Festival at Civic Center Plaza.  The festival showcases Irish culture through live performances, children's rides and inflatables, a petting zoo and pony ride, cultural displays, food, beverages and arts and crafts exhibits.

The St. Patrick’s Day Festival, which starts at 11:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m., is an easy walk from the Civic Center/UN Plaza Station.  To enjoy the parade, you can exit BART at the Embarcadero, Montgomery or Powell Street stations.  To avoid crowds after the celebration, we suggest that you buy a roundtrip ticket. Plan your trip using the BART QuickPlanner
