BART expands service for event-filled weekend

BART will have long trains and more of them all weekend long to help riders get to the Oakland A's playoff games, the Oakland Raiders game, the Cal football game, the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival and anywhere else.

Riders are encouraged to plan ahead by loading value to their Clipper card early or purchasing round trip tickets ahead of time.

Friday's Oakland A's playoff game starts near the peak of the Friday night commute when all of BART's trains are already in service so fans are encouraged to try to get the game early to avoid the crush of Friday night commuters.

The Oakland Raiders game has a late kick off but BART does not believe there will be a need to extend service beyond it regular Sunday schedule.  The last train out depends on which direction you are heading but is generally sometime between 12:20am-1am.  BART will have several more trains serving the Coliseum that night to help get fans home.  Those who want to take BART home will need to quickly make their way to the platform.  We also suggest purchasing your ticket ahead of time to avoid waiting in line at the end of the night.  As always BART will monitor the situation and make any necessary adjustments.

Also, riders should be aware, BART has scheduled track maintenance which may cause small delays this weekend at the following times and locations:

Saturday 8am-3pm near Pleasant Hill- possible 10-15 minute delays

Sunday 8am-2pm South of Hayward station- possible 10-15 minutes delays

BART will be charging for parking at the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART parking lot for all upcoming A's playoff games and the Raiders game this weekend.   The parking charge for the A's games will be $8 and for the Raiders game the charge will be $20.
