Transit leaders team up to hear riders' concerns

AC Transit Ward 4 Director Dennis Hayashi and BART District 3 Director Bob Franklin will host a public forum later this month to interact with their Central Alameda County constituents. Directors Hayashi and Franklin will update riders and answer questions on Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Hayward City Hall from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Recently elected, both Franklin and Hayashi are eager to hear from concerned citizens.

The forum will cover a wide range of transit topics and Franklin and Hayashi will be prepared to talk about future transit oriented developments, new late-night service on the weekends and the TransLink project (a smart card fare system for use on all Bay Area transit systems).  Both directors and agency staff will also answer specific concerns of riders.

Refreshments will be served.
