Construction on two new driveways at Pleasant Hill Station

The week of March 27, 2006, contractors will begin the installation of two new driveways on Oak Road at the Pleasant Hill BART station. This work will require the following partial road closures:

  • The right lane of Oak Road approaching Wayne Drive will be closed. This lane will be closed for about one week.
  • Crews will work on the roadway median on Wayne Drive, causing intermittent lane closures for about one week.

These two new driveways will provide improved access for the Patron Assisted Parking Program, which we anticipate will begin in early April. A future Passenger Bulletin will outline that program.

The construction work is part of the Pleasant Hill Station Transit Village Project, a development that incorporates office space, retail and housing in the area surrounding the Station. The addition to the parking structure will provide replacement parking for spaces that will be removed in other areas of the Station.

BART will continue to keep you informed by providing additional Passenger Bulletins. If you have any questions about this Passenger Bulletin, Please call (510) 464-6235. BART thanks you in advance for your cooperation and patience during the construction.
