Construction ahead at Dublin/Pleasanton Station

BART and the Alameda County Community Agency Surplus Property Authority have entered a partnership in a construction project at the Dublin/Pleasanton Station that will lead to the construction of a new parking garage and the development of land that is now being used as a surface parking lot on the Dublin side of the Station. The new garage is expected to be completed in the summer of 2008.

Preliminary construction activity is scheduled to begin in mid to late May. As the project progresses, there will be a series of changes to parking locations but BART is making every effort to maintain the number of parking spaces currently available. The first step is to build an interim surface parking that will replace parking that will be lost during construction of the new garage. The new parking garage will be built off Iron Horse Parkway adjacent to I-580. The interim surface parking lot will be built on undeveloped land off DeMarcus Blvd.

BART will issue future Passenger Bulletins outlining other specific changes and will post signs to inform customers.

BART thanks you in advance for your cooperation and patience during construction.
