Elevator at Balboa Park Station temporarily out of service

From Monday, September 10 through Wednesday, September 12, BART crews will be interrupting elevator service at the Balboa Park Station to complete electrical improvements to the elevator. This elevator shutdown will limit access to the BART and Muni Metro trains at this station.

Customers who require an elevator between the trains and the street must make alternative travel plans during this period. For a connection to the BART system, Balboa Park Station is connected to Glen Park Station via the MUNI #26 bus which stops at street level near both stations. There are many accessible Muni options to get to the Balboa Park area and City College of San Francisco.

If you have questions about alternatives routes during these elevator outages, contact Muni Accessible Services at (415) 701-4485 | TTY (415) 701-4730 or at www.sfmta.com/access, or call BART Customer Services at (415) 989-BART.

Check the BART elevator hotline for the status of the elevator at (888) 235-3828.
