Hayward Station reopened after shooting incident

The Hayward BART Station was reopened around 6 p.m. Monday after a midday shooting incident outside the station.

The station had been closed since around 12:30 p.m. while police investigated the shooting that broke out among a group of young males who had been standing outside the station. Passengers were able to get off at South Hayward Station and take buses to Hayward, and service in other areas of the BART system was not affected.
