Major delays have ended on Pittsburg line after train is disabled in tunnel

Major morning delays have ended on BART's Pittsburg/Bay Point line after a train became disabled in the Berkeley Hills Tunnel around 8:30 am, believed to be due to a brake problem on one of the train cars.

A technican on the train was able to get the train moving under its own power; it went on to Rockridge Station, where the aproximately 600-700 passengers were offboarded and continued on other train to their destinations.

Fire Department officials were on hand as a precaution and at least four passengers requested medical treatment.
