Longer trains on May 10th for Kaboom, Giants

BART operates longer trains Saturday, May 10th to serve the crowds attending the KFOG "KaBoom! 2008" Fireworks Show and the San Francisco Giants game. "KaBoom organizers expect 350,000 people at its annual show," BART Board President Gail Murray said. "Add that crowd with the thousands of Giant's fans heading to the game and you have potential gridlock on the Bay Bridge and on surface streets near the Embarcadero. To ease congestion and save fans parking fees, BART will provide special service this Saturday."

EMBARCADERO STATION CONVENIENT FOR BOTH EVENTS
The KaBoom event is at Piers 30-32 (Embarcadero & Brannan, near AT&T Park) on the San Francisco waterfront. KaBoom begins at 4 pm, with the fireworks over the bay scheduled for 9 &emdash; 9:30 pm. Piers 30-32 are just a short walk from the Embarcadero BART Station. KFOG reminds folks that once again KaBoom is a ticketed event and strongly urges fans to use public transit. You can purchase KaBoom tickets at www.kfog.com.

SPECIAL FLASH PASSES ON SALE AT DUBLIN/PLEASANTON
BART will set up a special ticket sales table at the Dublin/Pleasanton Station from noon to 4:00 pm Saturday, where passengers can buy flash passes good for trips to Embarcadero Station. Baseball fans can also use the flash pass to travel to the Giants/Phillies game Saturday.
