BART Elevator Locations and Accessible Path for South Hayward Station

Entering the South Hayward Station

The BART trains at South Hayward Station are located on a raised platform one level above the street.

There is only one elevator from the street to the boarding platform. This elevator will take you directly to the Richmond and Daly City bound trains.

When you exit the elevators you will be at the far end of the boarding platform.

Note: If you need to get to the side of the platform for Fremont bound trains, you must cross over the tracks on a walkway. The same elevator that provides access to the Richmond – Daly City platform will take you to the walkway.


Exiting the South Hayward Station

The BART trains at South Hayward Station are on located on a raised platform one level above the street.

When departing a Fremont bound train the elevator will be towards the front of the train at the far end of the platform. This elevator will bring you up one level to a walkway. The walkway will take you over the train tracks to a 2nd elevator. The 2nd elevator will provide access to the Richmond – Daly City platform and to the street.

When departing a Richmond or Daly City bound train the elevator will be towards the rear of the train. The elevator will take you down to the street or it will take you up one level to a walkway. The walkway provides access to the Fremont boarding platform.

Note: You cannot go directly from the Fremont platform to the street. You must use the walkway that connects the Richmond – Daly City platform to the Fremont platform to reach the elevator that can take you to the street.
