2018 CHANGES

Starting January 1, 2018, BART fares will increase by an inflation-based average 2.7%. There also will be a 50 cent surcharge per trip for Blue tickets. The surcharge will be prorated for discount paper ticket users so that seniors and people with disabilities pay a 19 cent surcharge and youth pay a 25 cent surcharge. Riders are encouraged to get a Clipper Card (www.clippercard.com) to avoid the surcharge.
