Board of Directors

The BART Board of Directors is comprised of nine elected officials from the nine BART districts. Board members serve a four-year term. For biographical information, click on a name below.

Regular meetings of the Board of Directors and Standing Committees are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month - January through October, the third Thursday in November and the first and third Thursdays in December. Meetings generally start at 9:00 a.m. or 2pm but can vary based on closed sessions. Please review the meeting schedule. BART now offers both in-person and virtual participation options. Location of the BART Board Room
The BART Board Room is located at 2150 Webster Street, first floor, Oakland Ca. 94612.

Take BART to the Board Room:  The building is located 3 blocks from the 19th Street BART station (take the 20th street exit).
Take AC Transit: The building is located near several AC Transit bus stops on Broadway (near 20th Street) and along Grand Ave (near Webster Street).
Bike parking options: A bike rack is available in front of the building and a BART Bike Station with free valet bike parking is located near the 19th Street BART Station at 1775 Broadway. It is staffed 7am-7pm on weekdays.   
Parking: Metered parking is available on Webster Street and 20th Street and other surrounding areas. There are multiple paid lots nearby.

Public Participation at Meetings of the Board of Directors

BART now offers both in-person and virtual participation options through zoom. Each Board Agenda provides the zoom link and call-in number.
