Mark Foley was elected to the BART Board on November 6, 2018. Director Foley represents District 2, which includes the cities of Antioch, Brentwood, Concord (partial), Discovery Bay, Oakley, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill (partial) and part of unincorporated Contra Costa County. 

Stations within District 2 include North Concord/Martinez, Pittsburg/Bay Point, Pittsburg Center, and Antioch.

Mark has dedicated his career to public service as a 26+ year employee of the East Bay Municipal Utility District.  At EBMUD, Mark works as a Systems Analyst in the Asset Management section (Operations and Maintenance Department) helping ensure that EBMUD provides safe and reliable drinking water and wastewater services to 1.4 million customers in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties.

As a Contra Costa County resident since 1979, Mark has been a daily BART commuter for over 25 years.

Mark holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business Management/Computer Science from Diablo Valley College, Pleasant Hill.

Mark lives with his wife Cindy and two daughters, in Antioch.
