SUMMARY OF SCOPE: The District intends to engage the services of one or more firms to provide plaza steam cleaning or pressure washing services at various BART stations, walkways and/or covered parking stairwells. The District presently intends to enter into separate Agreements for each Area location (Area 1, West Bay Locations; Area 3, East Bay North Locations; and Area 4, East Bay South Locations). Each Agreement will cover up to a four-year performance period, which includes a three-year period and a one-year option for extension of the Agreement. Proposer(s) may submit a proposal price for any one or more Area locations (Area 1, Area 3 or Area 4) listed in the Scope of Services, Attachment A, Exhibit 1, Agreement for Technical Services. The price proposal for each Area shall cover a 48-month term as described above.

Installation of a new public hydrant at the end of Lynn Court, including valves, installation of buried pipe that enters the BART ROW, with new double detector check, post indicator valve, fire department connection , flow sensor and transition to above-grade, wall-mount piping, support and bracing of wet standpipe along sound wall, retaining wall (highway abutment), along tunnel walls, and along the walls of the open cut between highway lanes south of the tunnel and furnish the standpipe in the tunnels with fire hose valves and isolation valves.

TITLE: Richmond-Concord-Hayward Dust Collectors Replacement Project

SUMMARY OF SCOPE: The work, in general includes but is not limited to, such work as the furnishing and installing of new rooftop- mounted dust collection equipment at the Service & Inspection (S&I) Buildings (aka Blowdown Buildings) at the District’s Richmond, Concord and Hayward Yards. The work also includes removal and disposal of the existing dust collection equipment at each yard; in-situ replacement of portions of the existing ductwork sheet metal in locations that are damaged (dented/cracked) or corroded; furnishing and installing a new water filtration and storage system, including a reinforced concrete pad and curb with pre-fabricated canopy structure above, adjacent to the S&I Buildings at Concord and Hayward Yards; furnishing and installing a new hot water pressure washer at Richmond and Hayward; and designing, and fabricating/wiring and installing new PLCs at the S&I Buildings at Concord and Hayward Yards. Contractor shall also be responsible for testing/commissioning of all equipment/systems installed, training of District employees, O&M documentation, and the compatibility of all components. All as specified in the Contract Specifications and Contract Drawings. The Contractor shall complete all Work indicated, specified and directed to be performed under this Contract within three hundred sixty-five (365) Days after the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. Bidder License Requirement: Classification A or B or C 10 or C-20, and be in good standing with the Contractors’ State License Board.

SUMMARY OF SCOPE: Provide various upgrades in the Powell Street Station for accessibility and passenger flow. This includes demolition of the break room at Hallidie Plaza, relocation of the ticket vending machines, adding/redistributing TVM/AFC machines throughout the two ticketing areas, including installation of new conduits wired and fiber, adding/relocating fare gates, service gates, and adding new 5’ fare barriers at the two paid areas. Relocation of art tiles and installation of new ceiling art lightbox. Asbestos abatement of existing beams and columns, application of new fireproofing and column cladding. New platform and trackway lighting, accessing conduit throughout SFMTA platform above. Optional work, such as construction of an ADA accessible ramp in Hallidie Plaza, and removal and replacement of the platform tiles, plus benches, may be included, at the discretion of the District, subject to available funding.
