On Thursday, June 15, BART began to repave the parking lots at the Hayward BART Station. Throughout this month-long project, there will be temporary changes to where parking will be permitted. BART is doing the work in three phases.

Phase I: Repaving the disabled parking lot began on Thursday, June 15 and the work is expected to end at 4 a.m. on Monday, June 26. (Please see map on back of bulletin). In order to complete the work, disabled parkers will need to use the parking spaces at Bay Fair and South Hayward BART stations.

Phase II: begins at 4 am on Friday, June 30 and ends at 4 am on Wednesday, July 5. This work is located in the bus lanes. During this phase:

1) The AC Transit bus loading/unloading area will be moved to the "Phase III" surface parking lot adjacent to B and Grand Streets.

2) Bus handicapped loading/unloading will be provided along B Street near the surface handicapped parking lot.

3) "Reserved" and regular parking spaces in the "Phase III" surface parking lot adjacent to B and Grand Streets will be moved into the parking garage.

Phase III: begins at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4 and ends at 4 a.m. on Saturday, July 15. During this phase, buses will be moved back to their original bus lanes and the "Reserved" and regular parking spaces from the "Phase III" surface parking lot adjacent to B and Grand Streets will remain in the parking garage.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience while this work is underway.
