BART to operate holiday schedule on 4th of July

Many trains will be longer to accommodate crowds

On Tuesday, July 4, 2006, BART will operate on a Sunday schedule. However, BART will keep trains on the Dublin and Richmond lines between eight and ten cars long most of the day to accommodate crowds going to the various sporting events, such as the Oakland A's versus the Arizona Diamondbacks game, which starts at 1:05 p.m. and the fireworks shows in Oakland's Jack London Square from 8:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and at Aquatic park in San Francisco during the same time period.

JULY 3RD BART SCHEDULE
BART will operate on a normal weekday schedule on Monday, July 3, 2006. However, BART is canceling a couple of trains on the Pittsburg/Bay Point Line during the morning and evening rush hour periods. However, trains will still arrive at stations every five to ten minutes during the peak commutes.

BARTABLE 4TH OF JULY EVENTS
There will be numerous 4th of July events that people can get to by riding BART. In San Francisco, BART riders can connect to MUNI lines from BART's downtown San Francisco stations to get to the plethora of pre-fireworks events happening from noon until 10pm in and around Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. BART riders can also attend many pre-fireworks events in Oakland's Jack London Square by riding to the 12th Street Station and either taking an AC Transit bus or walking a short distance to the Square. Most events will begin at 1 p.m. For more information visit: jacklondonsquare.com.
