Repaving work at Lake Merritt Station

On Monday, July 31, BART will begin to repave parking lots at the Lake Merritt BART Station. Throughout this month-long project, there will be temporary changes to where customers will be able to park. BART is doing the work in two phases.

Phase I: Repaving the Lake Merritt surface parking lot for Phase I begins on Monday, July 31 and the work is expected to be completed by 4 a.m. on Monday, August 21. During this phase:

1. The "Permit" parking will be temporarily relocated to Metro Center building parking lot located on 7th Street between Madison and Oak Streets. 2. There will be no daily "Fee" parking available at the MetroCenter building from Monday, July 31 to Friday, September 8. During this period, it is suggested that riders use parking at the Fruitvale BART Station.

Phase II: Repaving the MetroCenter building parking lot is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 21 and end at 4 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8.

BART thanks you in advance for your patience and apologizes for any inconvenience you may experience while this work is underway. If you have any questions, please feel free to call BART's Government & Community Relations Department at (510) 464-6257.
