February service cuts no longer considered

BART is no longer considering off-peak service cuts in February 2009.

The District had been considering cuts in the additional off-peak service added a little more than a year ago. The move was proposed as a way to help close a budget deficit caused by the poor economy, sagging sales tax revenue and a reduction in state transit funding. 

Other service reduction proposals will likely be considered later in the year.
