Review the parking rules during Labor Day weekend service

With many new riders expected to be taking BART during the Labor Day weekend Bay Bridge closure, BART urges everyone to be aware of the parking rules, covered in-depth in the parking section of our website.

Friday, Sept. 4:
All regular parking rules are in effect.  Please observe designated area parking signs. Parking in a FEE area requires payment of daily parking fee. When you park in a FEE area parking space , you need to remember your parking stall number and then pay for your parking with your BART ticket or cash  inside the station  fare gate area at the parking validation machine. Also be aware that Reserved  or PERMIT area parking spaces are restricted until 10:00 am for patrons who have purchased their permits prior to arriving at the station.  After 10:00 am any reserved or PERMIT space becomes available for general and/or daily fee parking.

The station page for each BART station has an "estimated fill time" listing the time by which lots are typically full on normal days. HOWEVER, FRIDAY IS EXPECTED TO BE A BUSY DAY ON BART DUE TO THE BAY BRIDGE CLOSURE, SO PARKING LOTS MAY FILL EARLY. PLAN AHEAD.

Saturday, Sept. 5, and Sunday, Sept. 6:
As always on weekends, no parking fees are required and there is no reserved parking.

Monday, Sept. 7:
Labor Day is a parking holiday. No parking fees are required and there is no reserved parking.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The overnight BART service during the Labor Day weekend is limited to certain stations and hours. See the full story for the list of stations and schedule. If you're planning to ride BART's overnight service, remember to board at a station that will be open overnight to avoid being stranded, and observe all the parking rules if you are planning to park your vehicle there.
