Are you a BART star? Check out a casting call to appear in BART ads

In support of its ongoing "BART…and you’re there" marketing campaign, BART is turning to its ridership to find the stars of upcoming TV and radio spots.

BART is seeking to cast two real BART riders to appear in TV and radio spots. The two people selected will be filmed in mid-June, and the ads will begin appearing in early July.

1) One person is a regular commuter who rides BART to work in San Francisco. Preferred age range is 25-50.

2) The other person is a more casual rider who takes BART to social events. BART will also consider a small group of friends (3) for this commercial. Preferred age range is 20-35.

The project would require one full day of each person’s time. Filming would take place in the Bay Area and is currently scheduled for June 10th and 11th. You won't get paid for your submission or for your appearance in the final advertising spots. But you will gain instant fame and the satisfaction of knowing you're helping get people out of their cars and onto BART!

Interested parties should visit www.areyouabartstar.com to fill out an online questionnaire and attach a recent digital photograph, or if possible, a video clip (5Mb limit).

The deadline for placing your entry is Friday, April 30, 2010.

All entries and materials become property of BART and cannot be returned. Questions? Contact BART Marketing via email at [email protected]

Disclaimer: BART is responsible for the content of the ad. No compensation for time or effort is forthcoming. A signed talent/model release will be required prior to production.
