Bridge toll goes up July 1; take BART to avoid the toll increase

Bay Bridge tolls are going up again.

Starting July 1, drivers will pay $6 to cross the Bay Bridge during peak commute hours and $5 on the weekends.Carpools will now pay a $2.50 toll instead of crossing for free.

With higher bridge tolls, some drivers will re-think their commute and take advantage of BART's fast, reliable, environmentally friendly Transbay service.

Use the BART QuickPlanner to get schedules, fares and even a carbon calculator to see how much CO2 you’re saving by taking BART.
