BART to run longer trains for Giants playoff games Thursday and Friday

BART will run longer trains this Thursday and Friday to accommodate the tens of thousands of sports fans attending the San Francisco Giants playoff games against the Atlanta Braves. The Giants clinched the National League West division title on Sunday for the first time since 2003.

The matchups against Atlanta are scheduled for 6:37 on Thursday and on Friday evenings at AT&T Park. Fans are encouraged to buy round-trip tickets before the game to avoid potentially long lines at the ticket machines after the game. Fans can plan their trips using the BART QuickPlanner. Take BART to Embarcadero and either walk to AT&T Park or transfer to Muni streetcars serving the ballpark -- look for trains headed to Mission Bay, Caltrain or Sunnydale and get off at the 2nd Street/Ballpark Station.
