Weekend track work may cause delays on Pittsburg/Bay Point line

Weekend track work may cause delays on the Pittsburg/Bay Point line the weekends of October 29 - 31, November 5 - 7 and November 12 - 14, 2010. For the next three weekends, BART will need to run northbound Pittsburg/Bay Point line trains on a single track due to ongoing weekend track work for the Central Contra Costa Crossover Project. Single tracking trains may result in slight delays of up to 15 minutes on weekend trains going toward Pittsburg/Bay Point Station.  We recommend that you adjust your travel plans accordingly to take the potential delays into account.

The Central Contra Costa Crossover Project will be completed in late 2010 and will add two new crossover tracks between Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek stations. Crossover tracks will mean reduced delays on the Pittsburg/Bay Point line and also will give us the flexibility to run more trains between Pleasant Hill and San Francisco to provide more seating for our passengers during the peak commute times.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
