As halfway point of bike pilot nears, about 3,000 comments received

We’re about halfway through the Commute Period Bike Pilot -- with the third of five Bike Fridays coming tomorrow, Aug. 17, 2012.

For the five Fridays in August, we’re waiving the commute period restrictions on bikes so that they’re allowed on all trains, all day. The most important part of the pilot is hearing from BART riders (bicyclists and non-bicyclists) who were on the trains during either the morning (~ 7:00 to 9:00 am) or afternoon (~ 4:00 to 6:00 pm) commute periods about their experience with bikes on board.  Plenty of space?  Too crowded?  What did you experience?

Let us know how it went for you by completing a short (5 question) survey at www.bart.gov/bikes

We’ve heard from about 3,000 riders so far and would love to hear from more of you.  The survey opinions will figure prominently in the post-pilot evaluation as we consider options and opportunities for the future.
