New parking garage opens at MacArthur Station 9/15

The BART Parking Garage at the MacArthur BART station will open on Monday, September 15th. BART customers driving to the MacArthur BART station are asked to take note of the new location of the garage and access route to the BART fare gates.  When the new garage opens, the existing parking lot will be closed to complete the remaining construction of the Transit Village.

Customers will be able to  access the new parking garage from 40th Street by turning right on Telegraph Avenue, right on West MacArthur Blvd and turning right just before Highway 24. Click here for a map. Customers will continue to pay for parking in the same way inside the fare gates as they have been at MacArthur:  Enter the parking stall number and then pay with cash or a blue ticket, or tag a Clipper card that is pre-registered with the BART parking application. Advanced permits are also available.

Stalls for permit holders are located starting on the second level and are clearly designated “permit parking only.” Disabled parking stalls are located on the ground floor on the west side of the new garage.

The opening of the garage represents the completion of the first phase of construction work at the MacArthur BART Station.  We appreciate your patience throughout this process.  We will continue to issue additional bulletins regarding construction improvements and scheduling once the opening date is finalized.  Current and prior bulletins, as well as additional information regarding the project can be viewed at http://macarthurstation.com or by contacting MacArthur Transit Community Partners at (510) 619-9855.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
