Ask BART: All you need to know about eBART

Watch the video

The newest segment in the ongoing “Ask BART” series looks at the East Contra Costa BART Extension (eBART).

eBART is a new type of train for BART, although they are widely in use in Europe and elsewhere in the US. Called DMU (for diesel multiple-unit) trains, they are smaller than BART trains, have comfortable seats, wide windows and level boarding.

eBART will extend the BART system 10 miles east of the Pittsburg/Bay Point Station along Highway 4, into Antioch.  Visit www.bart.gov/AskBART to view this video about eBART and find previous segments.
